Waitlist privacy notice
Last updated . What we collect when you join the UReditor waitlist, why, and your rights under UAE law.
Who we are
UReditor is run by Lereve Media. We decide how your waitlist details are used, so we are responsible for them. This notice covers the waitlist on ureditor.com and the invitation that may follow it.

What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, only if you choose to give it. We store it in international format.
- The type of content you make, and your own words if you choose Other.
- Your consent: the date of the Waitlist terms and of this notice when you agreed to them, and the time you agreed.
- Your offer: that your entry carries a free first month, and whether it has been given.
- If we invite you: the account we make for your email address, and your free month on it (the plan for 30 days, and its credits).
- When you joined, and how you found the form if your link or browser says so: the name of the website that sent you (not the page), and any campaign tags in the link.
- If someone joins again with your email address: how many times, and when last. Nothing they type then is kept.
- Your IP address, the internet address your request comes from. It is not saved with your entry.
- Our web server's logs of every visit to the site, joined or not: your IP address, the time, the page asked for with any tags in its link, the page you came from, and the browser you use.
We ask for nothing else. Please don't put sensitive details, such as health or religion, in the Other box.
Why we use it
- Your name and email: to keep your place, send your invitation, and write to you about your place and your free month.
- Your phone number: only to reach you about your invitation if email doesn't work. Never for marketing calls or messages.
- The type of content you make: to plan which kinds of video the beta takes first.
- Your consent and your offer: to show that you agreed, and to give you your free month.
- When you joined and how you found the form: to see how people find the waitlist.
- The count of repeated sign-ups: to spot an entry made with someone else's email address before we invite it.
- Your IP address: to limit how often the form can be sent, and to stop automated sign-ups.
- The web server's logs: to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and find faults.
We don't send marketing or newsletters to the waitlist, and we never sell your details or share them for anyone's marketing. If we ever want to send you marketing, we will ask you separately first.
A person on our team decides whom to invite and when. No decision about you is made automatically.
Our legal basis
We use your waitlist details because you consent to it, by ticking the box when you join. Your invitation and your free month are steps you ask us to take before any contract with you. The web server's logs are kept for every visit, whether or not you join, to keep the site secure and working.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@lerevemedia.com from the address you joined with. It doesn't affect what we did before, but we can no longer keep you on the waitlist, so we delete your entry (see Your rights).
Who sees it
- Our admins, the few people on our team who run the waitlist, in our console. When someone joins, our team gets an email that says only that a new entry is waiting, with a link to the console. It holds no name, address or other detail of yours.
- VSHosting s.r.o., in the Czech Republic, which hosts our servers, the database your entry is stored in and its backups.
- Hostinger, our email provider, which carries the emails we send you, such as your invitation.
- An authority, only when UAE law requires us to share it.
We use our providers only to store and send your details. We give them to no one else.
Where your details are stored
Your entry is stored on our servers in Prague, Czech Republic, outside the UAE, and so are the web server's logs and our backups. The Czech Republic is in the European Union, where the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our hosting provider.
An encrypted copy of our backups is also kept on a computer used by our team, which may be outside the UAE. It can't be read without a key that isn't kept with it.
Email passes through our email provider's servers, which may be in other countries.
These transfers outside the UAE rely on your explicit consent: the box you tick when you join names them, and you can withdraw it (see Our legal basis).
How long we keep it
- We keep your entry while the waitlist is open.
- If we invite you, your invitation makes an account for your email address and gives it your free month (the plan for 30 days, and its credits). We then delete your waitlist entry within 30 days. The account keeps only your email address, its plan and its credits; you can ask us to delete it too.
- When the waitlist closes, we delete every remaining entry within 30 days.
- If you ask us to delete your entry, we do it within 7 days.
- When we delete your entry, we keep only a short record that an entry was deleted, and when, without your details.
- Backups: every night we copy our whole database. On our servers we keep each copy for 30 days, and an encrypted history of those copies for up to 7 months. The encrypted copy on our team's computer has no deletion schedule yet, so it can hold an entry until we delete that copy. A deleted entry stays only in these backups, and we never put it back on the waitlist.
- Our web server's logs of each visit, with your IP address: up to 15 days, then they are deleted.
- The form's sending limit holds your IP address in our server's memory, never with your entry, for no more than 2 hours.
How we protect it
Your entry reaches us over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is stored in our own database on our own servers. Only our admins can see it, in our console, and they must pass a second sign-in check to open it.
If a security breach puts your details at risk, we will tell you and the UAE data protection authority, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us, free of charge, to:
- tell you what details we hold about you and how we use them, and give you a copy;
- send your details to you or to another company in a common, machine-readable format;
- correct details that are wrong or incomplete;
- delete your entry;
- stop using your details, or object to a use of them. We use them only for the waitlist, so stopping means taking your entry off it;
- withdraw your consent, which takes you off the waitlist.
Email info@lerevemedia.com from the address you joined with and tell us what you want. We may ask you to confirm it's you. We act on your request within 7 days of that.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handled your details, please tell us first at info@lerevemedia.com. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office, or to the Federal Authority for Artificial Intelligence and Data, created in June 2026 to take over its work, or to whichever UAE authority is responsible for data protection at the time.
Age
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over. If we learn that an entry was made by someone under 18, we delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you have already given us, we will email you before it applies and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
